Level 2 or higher MSP Support Technician

We are seeking a Level 2 or higher MSP Support Technician to provide remote support and occasional onsite support to our clients. The technician will be responsible for managing alert notifications from our MSP platform, diagnosing and resolving those tickets. You should be able to prioritize technical issues, manage assigned tasks, document time spent and resolutions. You should have good customer service and communication skills, and be organized and able to hand multi-tasking.


3-5 years of IT Support experience
Microsoft Certifications and or other vendor certifications such as Cisco, Sonicwall 
College degree in a computer-related field
Ability to manage client account information and documentation within business systems
Ability to troubleshoot hardware/software issues, break/fix tasks, receiving and acknowledging client calls/emails
Ability to install, upgrade and troubleshoot Windows 7 through Windows 10 operating systems in domain and workgroup environments 

including user/PC migrations, applications and hardware replacement/troubleshooting
Experience with wired/wireless networks and basic networking protocols including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, WAN/LAN TCP/IP
Strong skills in installing, activating and troubleshooting Office software suite including Outlook configurations and migrations of Exchange accounts
Experience with managing Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 including Active Directory, Network Drives, Folder Permissions and shared printers
Virtualization experience with Hyper-V or VMWare
Experience with configuring/troubleshooting VPN and RDP services and other remote solutions  

Public Clouds like AWS and Azure
Managed Services Platform
Office 365 Exchange Online
Backup and recovery solutions such as cloud backup, Windows backup, replication, virtual machine backup
Networking, Routing, DNS, Firewalls and security

For now this a part time role either w2, 1099, or corp-to-corp, but may grow into a full time position. 70 to 80% of the work, approximately, can be done offsite, but there may be some travel to client sites in the NY/NJ Metro area. Candidates local to NJ are preferred.
